Students visit Saunton Sands and Kentisbury Grange Hotels
Foxes Academy students recently visited two of the south west’s most renowned hotels. Saunton Sands is a smart 4* art deco hotel with over 90 rooms, it has a spa and sits atop the cliffs overlooking a stunning North Devon beach. Kentisbury Grange is a luxury 4* country hotel on the edge of Exmoor National Park, a stylish boutique manor house retreat with an award winning restaurant ‘The Coach House’ by Michael Caines. Visiting both venues in one day gave the students aspirations for their future careers. The very different settings enabled the young visitors to consider which environments are best suited to their skills and personalities within the world of work.
Dez Turland, PR & Marketing Chef at Saunton Sands Hotel and Rachel Turland, Training and Development Coordinator at Kentisbury Grange hosted the valuable learning enrichment visits. Students were given a tour and talks by departmental staff at both hotels. Andrew Mosedale, Brend Hotel Group HR Manager and Stella Lethaby, Personnel Manager joined students for a delicious cream tea to end a fabulous day.
Ben Graham, Foxes Partnership Manager said “These visits are really valuable opportunities to see how luxury hotels work to the highest industry standards. We are really grateful to staff at both hotels for giving up their time to support the development of our students and we look forward to developing links in the future.”
