Our CEO Mark Costello comments on the King’s Speech
Published 18/07/24I was pleased to see that in the King’s Speech and Children’s Wellbeing Bill there appears to be a renewed focus on Children and Education from the new Labour Government, this is very different from the King’s Speech of the previous Conservative Government that did not have a single piece of proposed legislation coming from the Department of Education. The Opportunities Mission and subsequent Children’s Wellbeing Bill and Skills England Bill certainly seem to signify that Children and Education are a serious priority for Labour, this can only be a positive for the younger generations, their families and the people working tirelessly in the sector.

We’re thrilled to announce that The Aurora Group is a certified B Corp
Published 16/07/24This year we were assessed independently from Octopus Group, our financial backer, and are incredibly proud to have scored 110.6 - way above the 80 point threshold required for certification. In fact our score puts us in the top 15% of all certified companies!
It’s unusual to meet the 80 point target on first assessment and globally less than 1% of companies meet the threshold for B Corp certification, so it’s a huge achievement.
But what is a B Corp and why is becoming one important?

Bon appetit – Foxes students cook for French embassy and a former Prime Minister!

The prestigious event was held at the French Ambassador’s residence, celebrating the 120th anniversary of the Entente Cordiale (a friendship agreement signed between France and the UK).
