Work Experience Programme

Each student will have the opportunity to take part in at least one work experience placement whilst at Aurora Boveridge College and where possible they will have the chance to do one each year they are with us.

We work closely with the students to find placements that are meaningful and relevant to their aims and aspirations.

We have had many successful placements this year:

Meet Ethan, he has undertaken two work experience placements whilst at Aurora Boveridge College. Ethan has a passion for sport and would like to have a career in this area, he is interested in coaching and being a PE teacher.

One of Ethan’s placements was at Cranborne Middle School where he was an PE Assistant every Tuesday.

What did you do in your placement? “ helped set up, plan and run the lessons alongside the PE teacher”

What have you learnt? “the experience has helped to improve my communication skills and my understanding of teaching PE in schools and gave me valuable experience in this field”

Feedback from Cranborne Middle School

“Ethan was slightly nervous when he first visited but I have really seen him grown in confidence during his time here. He has settled well and works well with other members of the PE department. He has a lot of qualities that will stand him in good stead in his future career choice withing the sporting industry.”
