About Chaldon School

Aurora Chaldon School is a specialist school located in Merstham, opening 2025. We strive to provide our students with “every opportunity to achieve.” This means supporting them to develop as well-rounded individuals by giving them the tools they need to access their learning and the wider world. As a result, we hope students leave us with a positive self-concept and with the skills, knowledge and experiences they need to go on to their next steps in further education, training or employment.

Safeguarding is our priority, and all students are viewed and supported holistically with their health and wellbeing central to everything we do. Many young people coming to us would have struggled to navigate a mainstream education which could mean they have missed some time in school or have a sense that they do not belong. We focus on addressing their individual barriers which may include a range of sensory or emotional regulation needs. We focus on closing gaps in learning through a range of targeted therapeutic and academic interventions so that students can go on to achieve their potential.
